Winga Hauser and Lee Montgomery are two young men on vacation who are stranded in a small town after a run in with some southern rednecks. The people in the town are very inhospitable and the local Sheriff (Bo Hopkins) advises the men to leave town in the morning.
Montgomery's character of Mike is killed by something weird and deadly that happens to be in his room when he and his brother enter a small boarding house for the night. In the morning Josh (Hauser) cannot find his brother.
One thing leads to another and soon he discovers that the residents of the small southern town are infected with a toxic waste that is turning them into blood sucking zombies. This leads to a climax that is one of the best I have seen in a while, especially for a low budget film like this.
The Code Red Blu-Ray is absolutely the best presentation of this movie you'll ever see. This is a fun little thriller that delivers some really shocking scenes, and director John "Bud" Cardos really knows how to deliver the goods. Jody Medford is beautiful as Holly, and it's sad her film career ended with this film.
A great release this year from Code Red, and a film that has long been negected. The rest of the cast includes Cary Guffy and Jennifer Warren. I Highly Recommend this little gem.
