CODE OF THE RANGERS 1938 (SINISTER CINEMA)

Tim McCoy stars in another Sam Newfield directed western.

McCoy plays Tim Strong. He and his brother Jack (Rex Lease) are after members of the Blackie Miller gang. They apprehend one and sent him to jail.

Soon Tim learns that Jack helped the captured man escape from jail and he doesn't make it public, but he does force Jack to quietly resign his post with the rangers.

Tim loves his brother enough not to turn him into the law and even later when a bank is robbed and Tim finds that Jack is guilty of the crime, Tim protects him and is even sent to jail for a brief time.

The two brothers are always on opposite sides, but when Miller's gang attacks Jack has second thoughts and decides to help Tim. This is a finely crafted little western. It only runs 58 minutes and it never seems to run out of gas. This is essential viewing for fans of 30's westerns and Tim Mccoy.

The rest of the cast includes Judith Ford, Wheeler Oakman and Frank LaRue.
