Chester Turner wrote, directed, edited and did the music for this one of a kind thriller. A church going woman buys a strange doll in a small shop and soon it comes to life, ties her to a bed, assaults her and then disappears!! The dolls tongue looks like a Popsicle stick and it reminds me of a black Jerry Mahoney.
Seeing this film after about 10 years really blew me away. There are scenes when the music is way too loud and drowns out some of the dialogue, but why quibble. This is the epitome of the great 80's when anyone could make a movie. Turner has a masterpiece on his hands and I have learned that he is going to be at Cinema Wasteland in Cleveland this October and will be offering his masterpiece on brand new DVD transfers!!
Every fan of bad cinema on film in general should see this movie before they die. A work of art that simply cannot leave your mind once you see it. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
Oh yes...you gotta love that twist ending!!
