Charles Pierce directed this weird thriller about a couple, played by Michael Parks and the wonderful Jessica Harper who move into a home that is supposedly haunted after several brutal murders have taken place there in the past.
Parker is stalked by a mysterious man who tries to murder her and the stalking get worse until she and her husband buy some guns for protection. Harper ends up shooting her husband by mistake and then the film spirals into a bizarre climax which I won't mention here in case you haven't seen the film.
Vic Morrow is the agent who sells the home and he is hiding some dark secrets of his own. This film is set in 1942 and Pierce does his usual good job with the period.
Good spooky film with some very effective scenes and some very good acting especially from Harper, who has never been in a bad movie, but is still highly underrated.
