THE GREAT JESSE JAMES RAID 1953 (VCI)

A Lippert western in Color!

A rare color western from Lippert that stars Willard Parker as Jesse, now living under an assumed name in Missouri. He is recruited by his old friend Bob Ford to do one more heist.

Greed and other things turn the men who are on the heist against one another and needless to say the men fail in their task. The heist actually involves taking gold from a mine that is very dangerous to enter.

Tom Neal, Richard Cutting and gorgeous Barbara Payton are also on hand here. I liked this movie a lot. It is a simple formula western, but kept my attention and it moved quickly. This is only the second film I have ever seen Willard Parker in and he does a descent job with the lead. Recommended for western fans.
