The makers of this film did well when they decided to bring a character back from the original show. Ricardo Montalban does his usual excellent job as Khan, a genetically perfect being who was exiled to a distant planet by then Capt. James T. Kirk.
Khan is back and this time seeking to avenge himself against Admiral Kirk and the starship Enterprise as well as steal a new device called "Genesis" which can actually create life. All of the original cast members return and it is always good to see them.
Kirk's ex-wife and son are introduced as new characters as well as Mr. Saavik, a Vulcan played by Kirstie Alley, making her film debut.
Lots of great action and battles as Kirk and Khan battle each other. it really brings back the real spirit of the show, unlike what most of the other films did. Nicholas Meyer directed.
