Before he was Vader in Star Wars Prowse had quite a career in British Cinema.
He starred in "Horror Of Frankenstein" as the monster and also appeared in the excellent horror film "Vampire Circus". Prowse also appeared in various TV shows including "The Saint" and "The Beverly Hillbillies" among others.
His greatest claim to fame however was as Darth Vader in the 1977 film "Star Wars" and that is the role he will be best remembered for.
Prowse was born in 1935 and he started his acting career in 1956. His other film credits include "Frankenstein And The Monster From Hell" and "The People That Time Forgot".
He passed away on Nov. 28th, 2020 at the age of 85.
