Mark Burns stars as Sir Michael Brattling, a young man who runs a plantation in South Africa. On this estate there are some very dark secrets.
There is a mad doctor on Brattling estate that has been experimenting with animals in various ways, but the experiments take a very dark turn when he begins to experiment with their souls.
Michael seems to be keeping everything under control, but as things get even more out of hand, even he finds that hard to do. The mad doctor then begins experimenting with the souls of his own family members and we learn that Michael and Dr. Breckinridge Brattling are one in the same.
The climax is really very well done with the doctor going completely insane and being done in by the escaping souls, especially the soul of a horse!! Very odd indeed.
This film remains very obscure to this day and I really don't know why. It's engaging, entertaining and something a little bit different. I enjoyed it a lot and hope you will to if you decide to give it a try.
