This coming summer the SHUDDER network will begin streaming the Romero film "THE AMUSEMENT PARK" starring Lincoln Maazel.
This isn't a horror film but it has real impact nonetheless. It was made at the behest of the Lutheran Society in 1973 and is about growing old. Romero made a much different film than the Lutherans wanted and they shelved it.
It depicts an elderly man facing the pains, tragedies and humiliations of growing older as he tours the park. It's really a one of a kind film, but VERY relevant in 2021.
I don't have an air date yet, but I will keep everyone posted. Don't miss it.
Hey! Looking forward to this and Shudder has been putting out physical releases of most of their stuff so hopefully a blu ray will come out too.
ReplyDeleteI hope so. This is one little ditty of a film.
