The story is simple enough. A young man named Nils (Dieter Geissler) rents an apartment and a picture on the wall falls off.
Nils peaks thru the hole and sees a man and a woman haing sex. He slowly developes an obsession with peeking and he sees many things...things that drive him to get a key made for the apartment next door.
He enters when the man leaves and finds guns, money, women tied up and more. He is slowly pulled into a web of crime he cannot escape. His beautiful girlfriend Marina (Alexandra Stewart) is a reporter working on a murder story and she discovers that Nils' obsession may have more clues to the crime she is investigating.
All does not end well and the film is very noirish in nature. Bernard Herrman did the score for this film, and it will remind you of "Psycho" in some spots, but it reallt serves the movie well.
This is a very well done movie that will keep your attention right up to the final shot. I liked it sa lot and found it also brought me back to a great period of history...the late 1960's...good stuff indeed.
The presentation on Blu-ray is beautiful and I recommend this disc.
