REBELLIOUS DAUGHTERS 1938 (SINISTER CINEMA)

Early exploitation gem directed by Jean Yarbrough.

The simple plot is about a young girl who moves out of her parents house against their wishes.

She then finds herself working for a man in a dress business which is also a cover for blackmail and "dirty pictures". Now she must fight her way out with the help of a reporter and her sister.

This is one of those 30's films that seemed to set the standard for later films to come from the 40's thru the 80's. The movie is short and to the point, but it does lag in a couple of spots.

The cast includes Marjorie Reynolds, Verna Hillie, George Douglas, Sheila Bromley and Monte Blue. I saw this on streaming and it's pretty much available everywhere.
