Randolph Scott stars in this all time classic western about a man who is being held hostage by gunmen and how he slowly turns them on each other. Budd Boetticher directed this and several others with Scott and this is one of the very best.
Scott was always good at playing loners and this is a perfect example. Also in the cast are Richard Boone, Maureen O' Sullivan, Arthur Hunnicut, Skip Homier and Henry Silva. The character Silva plays has the most memorable line in the film because when Scott asks the gunmen where the child is who lived at the wagon station the gunmen have taken over, Silva coldly responds "He's in the well with his daddy." Wow, I will never forget that line as long as I live.
Highly Recommended feature.
