This film, in gorgeous Cinecolor tells the story of a young couple who hire a ship to take them to an island where it is rumored that prehistoric monsters still roam.
Virginia Grey is a young woman who finances the trip for her fiancee played by Phillip Reed. Barton ManLane gives the best performance in the film as Captain Tarnowski, the ship's captain. Richard Denning is on hand as a man who already spent time on the island during WW2.
The dinosaurs are extremely low budget but do look cool anyway and it is always a treat to watch MacLane make moves on Grey and throw grenades at the stumbling monsters. The Cinecolor is very good as well. I love this movie and think you ought to see it if you can find it.
