Lockhart stars as Jason, a film maker who is trying to get the financing for a movie he is shooting.
He has nothing but trpouble getting the money so he turns to the Mafia for some cash and then must pay them back before trouble starts. A Mafia collector named Joey (Richard Lynch) is keeping tabs on Jason as well as a lot of his friends.
Soon things get out of control and Jason finds some of his friends being killed and he himself is soon fighting for his life.
It's a prtty straight forward movie with a great cast. Lynch is simply wonderful in his perverse role as Joey. Never have I seen a Mafia man in a film so twisted as this one.
The cast also includes Joan Blondell as Mama Lou, a washed up actress that keeps Jason around as her toy when she needs something and he needs some cash. Marlene Clarke, Vicki Baltimore and Beverly Johnson round out the rest of the performers.
Lockhart is always good in his films and this is no exception. He plays the character cool and collected until pushed too far, but even then he takes his revenge on the Mafias very low key.
If you like black action films you will probably like this one. It's not as well known as a lot of others in the genre, but it's just as entertaining.
