It's also known as "Wild Youth" and moves along pretty good.
Two young men escape from a prison work farm. Steve Rowland stars as Switch, a psychotic man who likes killing people with his knife. His friend and fellow escapee Frankie (Robert Arthur) are met by Frankie's girlfriend Donna (Jan Brooks).
The three escape from the police, but their car breaks down so they hitch a ride from a couple going to Dallas. The couple are Revas (John Goddard) and his wife Madge (Carol Ohmart). They are smuggling heroine across the mexican border.
Switch and Revas are always at each other which makes for an uncomfortable situation. Switch manages to overcome revas and knocks him out as well as taking the distributor cap from the car. They also steal the doll that has heroine hidden in it, but they are not aware of it.
With the police hot pursuit of Revas he and Madge make their way to a small town and encounter the three young people. This ends with the death of both Switch and Revas leaving Madge to pay the price for the crime in prison.
I really liked this film. The rest of the cast includes Robert Hutton, Lloyd Nelson and Clancy Cooper.
