Hugo Haas directed and stars in this film. Mary Adams (Cleo Moore) works in a dive restaraunt and she steals $25,000 from a man who obtained the money thru crime.
She pleads guilty and serves a short sentance in a women's prison. When she is released she still refuses to tell where she hid the money. She finds work in an eatery owned by Dragomie Damitrod (Hugo Haas).
He has a gambling problem and when he gets in too far Mary offers him the $25,000 to help him out. However, it appears that he has stolen the money and Mark knocks him on the head...killing him in rage.
Or did she? This is a typical "morality" tale from Haas and it works well, as most of them do. Moore is hotter than a fire cracker and sizzles whnever she is on the screen.
I got to see this on the Movies TV network a while back and really enjoyed it. I have said it before, and I will say it again....I am a rabid Cleo Moore fan and will watch anything she is in.
