Cassidy's friend Denny Dennis (John Beach) has a very rich gold mine. Another man owns land right next to Denny and has him killed so he can take the mine.
What Frazier (Pat O' Brien) doesn't count on is Hoppy (William Boyd) taking over the mine while investigating the death of his friend. His two sidekicks, Lucky Jenkins (Russell Hayden) and Windy Halliday (Gabby Hayes) help run things and aid in the investigation.
Hoppy learns that Frazier's men have been going into the Dennis mine at night and working out a lot of gold. This soon endangers Cassidy's life as Frazier captures him and leaves him to die in a burning building.
This is another fine piece of western movie making that any western fan should enjoy. The plot is simple and straightforward and, of course, the good guys win. Good fun.
