Seeing this on Blu-ray was quite the experience. Guy Madison and Patricia Medina star in this western horror film about a dinosaur living in a hollow mountain and eating cattle. The story is basically a western romance with a dinosaur thrown in the mix in the final 20 minutes.
The effects aren't bad and this is the first time I have ever seen a dinosaur run at full speed. The two leads work very well together and Carlos Rivas is also on hand as Madison's business partner. I first saw this film when I bought a bootleg from a dealer back in the late 90's and it is a real treat to see Shout give this film it's first official release anywhere.
The colors are pristine and the wide screen presentation is perfect. There are a few scratches, but nothing is perfect, and frankly I never want perfect.
I happen to like both genres of film, so this fits right in with what I like to watch. it may not be perfect, but it is worth the money to pick up the blu-ray/dvd combo pack. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
