Yesterday was Feb 2nd and it marks the 50th year since the passing of the one and only Boris Karloff. I really don't need to say anything more because if you read this bog at all you already know about William Henry Pratt and I can really add nothing that hasn't already been written.
Also today, Feb. 3rd the late Michael Cimino would have turned 80. I've said it before and I'll say it again, Michael TAUGHT me first hand about movie making. I learned a hell of a lot from him during my time at United Artists.
Never have I hated AND respected someone so much. I learned many of the dos and don'ts from him. I also learned about corporate pinheads and how they can destroy someones vision.
Both of these above mentioned gentlemen, thou vastly different in what they did in the movie industry, influenced me heavily.
