TEENAGERS FROM OUTER SPACE 1959 (IMAGE)

Yes, I have mentioned this film before on the blog, but I finally managed, aftewr all of these years to grab the Image disc from Wade Williams company and it is by far the best I have ever seen the film looking.

This i an unltra low budget film about a flying saucer that lands on Earth and the invaders plan to grow a horde of monsters on Earth so they can have a new breeding ground.

No matter what one says about the film you can never accuse it of being slow. I mean this movie has nothing but chases, gunfights, an alien killing many townspeole as well as a few cops and teachers.

The title makes no sense, but then it is much more expolitable than it's original titel which was "The Gargon Terror". David Love stars as Derek, a young alien who decides it's a bad idea to destroy the Earth and runs away from his friends on the spacecraft. He finds himself befriended by a young woman named Betty (Dawn Bender) and her grandfather played by Harvey Dunn.

He is followed by Thor (Bryan Grant) who is a kill happy alien who never passes up an opportunity to turn a human into a skeleton with his ray gun. Derek and Betty start to fall for each other and Derek tells her that he will never leave the Earth and he will make it his home.

He proves this by leading all of the returning ships into a crash mode where all the invaders and their monster die, including Derek. Too many people poke fun at this film, but I always find it entertaining. Yes, they used volcano stock footage for the ships crashing, and yes, the skeletons have hanging knobs on their heads as some even have writing on them, but hey, what the hell. It's only a movie.

The print is absolutely gorgeous and if I remember correctly it has been released on Blu-ray, but I haven't seen that print.I highly recommend this film and if you can grab the Image disc from the Wade Williams Collection, you'll see it like never before. Nothing but fun.
