This film is very hard to get out of my mind. It's about the roots of plants being affected by radioactive waste and becoming carnivorous. The acting isn't to hot however. The man that plays the sheriff has some of the worst line deliveries in history, and the plot has a thousand loopholes.
Joe D' Amato directed and it seems like he just didn't care one bit, which he probably didn't. The root monsters devour half the town before anyone decides to do anything about it, and believe it or not they defeat the roots by bull dozing the land and tearing them out, but the ending does leave it open for a sequel, which thank god there wasn't.
I tried hard to like this film, and I can take it or leave it, but it could have been so much better. Even the actors don't seem to care if it works or not. And if you think the sheriff has some bad line delivery just wait until you hear the head of the local nuclear plant!! Shout has turned this out, and I am grateful for that, of course, but oh lord what a movie to watch.
