I first saw this way back in 1990 on some TV channel I cannot even remember now, and I was impressed. This is a bit better than your other WIP films, but I have to admit I like this genre a lot no matter what.
Shari Shattuck is a young woman thrown in the slammer after her loser boyfriend robs the bank she works in and she is falsely convicted. Once there she has to face the usual indignities and harrowing situations There is the usual butch dyke leader an all the other stereotypes, but that is what makes these movies fun.
Angel Tompkin is Diane, the masochistic warden, Lucinda Crosby is an inmate. There is a lot of fun to be had watching this film if you are a fan of this genre. Shout has turned out an excellent print of this film and I recommend it to any WIP fan. The final prison riot is very well staged by director Paul Nicholas who also directed the classic Linda Blair film, "Chained Heat".
