The founder of Something Weird Video has passed away after a battle with lung cancer. He was 56, and WAY to young to die. I first met Mike in the 1980's when I had my own video company and I have never talked with a more enthusiastic man in my life. Mike loved movies and we shared a lot of our love for movies when we talked.
I have lost a dear friend and the film world has as well. I just turned 51 and Mike turned 56 on Dec. 29th. They say when one gets older he sees more of this kind of thing than when you are young. I will miss Mike, a good friend, film lover and all around great movie fan.
His contributions to the world of psychotronic films are unmatched. I remember how excited Mike was when he finally got to meet David Friedman. I will always remember that. Damn, life sucks sometimes. RIP Mike.
