Beautiful Carroll Baker stars as a mute woman named Martha Caldwell. She has been a mute since she was 13 and saw her parents killed in a terrible accident.
She finds herself in the middle of a series of brutal murders that the local police believe are bring done by a crazed satanist. Lenzi does an excellent job directing this film and it's a nice turn for Baker as well in this kind of role.
Things get more and more twisted with each murder and they seem to just miss Martha as she always seems to be an intended target. However as the movie unfolds we find that the killer is not any of the usual suspects.
The movie has all the usual twists and turns, but it does not disappoint. I will not tell the ending just in case you haven't seen this little gem.
The rest of the cast includes Alan Scott, Ida Galli, Eduardo Fajardo, Silvia Monelli and George Rigaud. If you're a fan of Giallo films you won't want to miss this little gem.
Of course, Carroll Baker is always nice to look at as well.
