Glynis was born in 1923 in South Africa. She played in many, many TV shows and films during her long career.
A lot of people remember her as Mrs. Banks from "Mary Poppins" but just as many remember her from her starring role as a mermaid in the hit film "Miranda" from 1948.
I, amd most that read this blod remember her from the 1972 Amicus classic "Vault Of Horror" where she killed her husband by driving a hammer into his skull.
She also appeared in many tv shows including "Cheers", "Dr. Kildare" "Batman" nd hundreds of others. A great and talented lady who will be missed. Glynis Johns passed away on January 4th, 2024 at the age of 100.
