Pam Grier stars as A photographer named Friday who goes on an assignment to photograph the arrival of the richest black man in America. When he arrives three men attempt to kill him and this plunges Friday into a web of murder and a vague plot known as "Black Widow".
Thalmus Rasulala is Blake Tarr, the man who is almost murdered. Friday quickly tries to uncover the plot, but finds herself getting deeper and deeper into trouble.
This is based on the comic strip that ran in many newspapers from 1970-1974. Grier is always a pleasure to watch and her supporting cast includes Yaphet Kotto, Godfrey Cambridge, Eartha Kitt, Jim Backus, Ted Lange, Scatman Crothers and Tierre Turner.
With a top notch cast like this and some great action, great music an a fast pace you cannot go wrong with this one. Recommended for action fans, blaxploitation fans an Pam Grier fans.
