RIP JOHN LLEWELLYN MOXEY 1925-2019

The very, very prolific director has passed away.

Moxey directed over 100 movies and TV episodes over a career that spanned 60 years. His directing career started in 1955 on the British TV series "London Playhouse".

In 1960 he directed the movie which introduced me to him, "City Of The Dead" with Christopher Lee. As far as genre films goes, he directed quite a few including "Psycho Circus", "Stranglers Web", but his most famous work to most fans is handling the directing chores on the all time classic TV terror film from 1972 "The Night Stalker".

He handled his directing jobs quickly and was a favorite of TV producers for their made for TV movies. Between 1978 and 1981 Moxey directed about 15 TV movies. Some of the TV series that he helmed episodes for include "The Mod Squad", "Mannix", "Miami Vice", Magnum P.I." and many more.
