YOU HAVE TO RUN FAST 1961 (MGM)

Another great Edward Cahn crime thriller.

Craig Hill stars as a doctor who witnesses a murder by accident and soon finds his life in danger.

Hill's character of Dr. Roger Condon identifies the two men who brought the badly beaten detective to his office and then find the police are unable or unwilling to help keep him safe until the killers are apprehended.

This forces Condon to go into hiding and take a new identity in order to stay alive. He arrives in a small town and becomes Frank Harlow, a man who works in a small store and lives at a local lodge run by Laurie Maitland (Elaine Edwards) and her father Col. Maitland (William Bouchey).

Things seem to be going well until a gangster named "Big Jim" Craven shows up with his two hitmen and they believe Condon is hiding somewhere close.

This sets up a rather interesting and exciting conclusion. Cahn handles this film as he usually does and it comes off very nice indeed. Orville H. Hampton again handled the screenplay and Robert E, Kent produced.

The rest of the cast includes Grant Richards, Ken Mayer, and Claudia Barrett in a great role as Big Jim's moll named Fran. I recommend this little crime drama for any fan.
