She started he 65 year acting career in 1947 in a movie entitled "Sport Of Kings". After that she appeared in many more films including "Bulldog Drummond Strikes Back", "Johnny Allegro", "Al Jennings Of Oklahoma" and "Rancho Notorious" just to name a few.
Her greatest claim to fame came in 1959 when she landed the role of Alice Mitchell the mother of Dennis The Menace. The show ran from 1959-1963.
She got out of acting for 16 years starting in 1965 but came back in 1981 and appeared in many TV shows such as "Simon & Simon", "Newhart", "Silver Spoons" and many more.
She passed away on April 3rd. 2021, one day after she turned 98.
