The quintessential film noir about an insurance agent being duped, as usual, by a scheming woman into murdering her husband for his insurance policy which in turn arouses the suspicion of the agents boss.
Billy Wilder directed this perfect example of 40's American filmmaking. Fred MacMurray is Walter Neff the duped agent of lovely Phyllis Dietrichson, played to the hilt by Barbara Stanwyck.
Edward G. Robinson is Barton Keyes who decides to investigate when the case just seems wrong to him.
This is MUST viewing for any film fan. THE HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION POSSIBLE!!
