THE HEARSE 1980 (SCORPION)

Lovely Trish Van Devere is terrorized by ghosts in her aunt's old home and most of all she is terrorized by a deadly Hearse that follows her around. Great ghost story with some shocking scenes that was highly overlooked upon it's release as it had to compete with all the slasher films coming out at the time. The DVD finally gives us a letterboxed print as well as the best possible quality from a 35MM negative. The rest of the cast includes Joseph Cotton as Walter Prichard who handles the house for her and thinks she is insane, Med Flory as the leering Sheriff, David Gautreaux as a young man she falls for. The disc is hosted by the gorgeous Katarina Leigh Waters who fills us in on the background of the film and does a phone interview with the author William Bleich. Not a bad film by any means and Katarina is always a pleasure to see and to watch as well as being very informative. Recommended for horror fans. Check it out!!
