Bridges' character made the plates and the government wants him to find who has them. He gets too greedy as the case progesses and has to be thrown back into jail and kept there.
John Hoyt is an undercover man who wants to bankroll Bridges scheme and the very sexy Barbara Payton is the girlfriend that wants to spend all the money.
Great film noir with plenty of twists and turns in the script and a wonderful cast rounded out by Russ Conway and Robert Karnes.
Besides being a film noir, the reason I really like this film is, of course, Barbara Payton, one of the most beautiful actresses ever and one of the most tragic.
Recommended thriller!!
