THE LAUGHING WOMAN 1969 (SINISTER CINEMA)

What a film!

Philippe Leroy stars as Dr. Sayer, who is the director of a highly rated philanthropic institute who is not all he seems to be. He has a few quirks,

He has a penchant for bizarre S&M games and hires professional women for this every weekend as part of his fantasy.

One of his employees named Maria (Dagmar Lassander) comes to the villa on business and the twisted doctor decides to employ his sadistic nature into real life.

He imprisons Maria and begins to subject her to degrading and painful S&M sessions. Maria is, of course, not liking any of it, but he breaks her down and she finally starts to fall for the demented doctor.

All is NOT how it seems of course and the film does a complete 180 turn and you find out what is really going on. It's a great twist and an ending only this kind of film could have.

This Italian exploitation film was Lassander's favorite film role, and one can see why. Lassander never looked more beautiful and she handles to role extremely well, as does Leroy.

If you're looking for something a bit different and very entertaining, this is a film you should check out. The widescreen print is in english and exceptional quality. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
